Project Management: Basecamp – Freedcamp

Basecamp is a great project management tool. If you are not familiar on how to manage a little project, you can find good information on the book Project Management Lite by Juana Clark Craig, a very simple quick to read book that will give you all the basics to start and manage your own little projects. Online project management tools are pretty amazing. Like a real base-camp, where you can have your tent your food, campfire and a place where everything lives while you can explore the area. A project management software allows you to establish a communication system, have all your documents, assign tasks and track progress all in one place.

The problem with Basecamp is that sadly is no longer free. That is when Freedcamp comes to action. Freedcamp has all the tools that Basecamp offers but at no cost! Allows you to create a team, set milestones, tasks, communicate, keep track of the time that you spend working on the project. A great free tool that will help you be more productive and coordinate team efforts.

  1. Why not use free Bitrix24 as replacement for Basecamp? A lot more features than FreedCamp. Or am I missing something?

    • A friend was telling me about it last Tuesday. I personally haven’t try it yet, but it looks great! Thanks a lot for the suggestion Shane! I will def look into it.
