I believe that relations create opportunities, and the better connected you are, the more chances of success. I decided to contact pro-active young professionals that could help me turn this vision into something concrete. I recruited some of the best young talent around the Nevada business school and together founded the Nevada Business Connection Club.
The mission of Nevada Business Connection Club (NVBC) is to connect business students and alumni with the business community by developing strong relationships with each other and growing a network with employers seeking talented professionals.
Young pro-active professionals are very busy. We are all working students. Everybody has a job from 9-5pm, and then we go to school at night. We quickly run into our first problem: we were too busy to meet.
It was hard to find a time that could accommodate everybody, so we needed a way to maximize our time and everybody could cooperate to organize our events. Since we are a club and we didn’t have money, we had to use a free tool.
Google Drive offers 15GB of free storage online that you can manage from your browser, your phone, and from a folder on your desktop computer. Google Drive is also the hub for all Google productivity tools.
After you sign in with your Gmail, to the Googlely world of Google, you click on the right hand side of the screen and have access to all the documents. You can create docs and share them with your collaborators so they can see them on real time. Right now our folder is shared by 9 people, we actively collaborate and work together online, making the most out of our time. A few days ago Google announced a new price strategy, of 100GB per 1.99 dollars a month! Google Drive is one of the most powerful free/affordable tools that you must use and love.
