Sadly, we live in a time where it doesn’t matter what we sell, there is going to be a chance that our market is or will be saturated in the near future. There are infinite products for limited buyers and let’s be honest, the quality of our product per-se, just doesn’t make the cut anymore. So, now ask yourself, if a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound? If your product is the tree and the forest is the saturated market, maybe it won’t make a sound and you won’t be able to sell your product.
The good news is that we have the wonderful internet, where we can find everything we need to make sure that your tree makes as much noise as it can. Marketing is not only advertising, according to AMA (American Marketing Association) “Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. (Approved July 2013)”. So what we have here is a hand full of activities that we can do to improve our selling strategy for our little biz to become more efficient, more attractive and sell more products. Yes, I know what you are thinking…”We are too small, we can’t afford it, it is too complicated, we don’t have enough tools or the knowledge.” Let me tell you that those are just excuses and if you gave me ten more minutes, I could come up with 50 more. But I believe if there is a will, there is a way.
